I first began working as a Travel Consultant in 1984. I later purchased the agency where I got my start and, in 2004, merged my agency with CI Travel. We continue to provide the personal service our customers have always received and can also ensure they benefit from the expanded resources now available to us through our American Express affiliation.
One of the most popular forms of travel for people in the area is in groups, often by motor coach or cruise ship. There are countless destinations to choose from, however, some of the most requested include NASCAR events, New York City at Christmas and Disney all year round.
When I plan travel for myself, I always head someplace warm and sunny. This usually means either Hawaii or the Caribbean, both of which I have visited many times.
St Martin, my Caribbean favorite, is quite unlike any of the other islands. Its quiet beaches, tranquil waters and island charm are the equal of all its neighbors, but it is the only one to be shared by two different nations. Part French and part Dutch the island is a showcase of cultures and architectural styles.
As different as it is, St. Martin has nothing on Hawaii when it comes to cultural diversity. A true melting pot, the Hawaii of today is rich with Polynesian, Asian and Caucasian influences. This wonderful mix of people and the astounding landscape they are fortunate to call home is one of the most popular destinations in the world. And you don’t even need a passport!
