Credentials
Having moved around so much during her childhood, Karen Conken
often refers to herself as a "civilian navy brat." She lived in
Bermuda for the first 10 years of her life, and then moved to Oahu,
Hawaii for the next 2 years before moving to Puerto Rico. Packing
up and moving was second nature to Karen, who eventually ended up
living in many different areas of the United States.
Outside of the U.S., her favorite travel destination is the
Caribbean because of the relaxing atmosphere and lifestyle of the
island's natives. Karen has taken quite a few cruises on Carnival
Cruise Lines and Celebrity Cruises. In contrast, she also enjoys
the history and artistic culture of Europe, in particular that of
Germany and Paris. Karen finds it very interesting to see how other
people live and believes traveling is the best way to find
out.
Karen has received several certifications and awards, and she has
earned both her Certified Travel Associate and Certified Travel
Counselor certifications. In addition, she is also a
Certified Sandals Specialist and a "WOW" expert with Royal
Caribbean Cruise Lines.
