Although I currently live on the East Coast, and have spent most of my life enjoying the beaches and waterways of Virginia, North Carolina and Florida, I am originally from the beautiful state of Colorado. Growing up in the Colorado Rockies I enjoyed all the outdoor activities common to the area, including skiing, camping, hiking, and fishing. I also lived for over 4 years in the Micronesian Islands. This collection of over 2,000 islands scattered across the heart of the Pacific Ocean were a sharp contrast to the winter wonderland of my youth. Among these islands is where I discovered my passion for scuba diving, which led to attaining my PADI diving certification. My fascination with this underwater adventure has made coral reef destinations my preferred vacation spot. I maintain a personal interest in and knowledge of the best dive locations around the world.
I have worked as a Professional Travel Consultant for the last 8 years, during which I’ve been fortunate to experience many amazing places and cultures. I’ve traveled throughout the Caribbean, the Hawaiian and Micronesian Islands; Mexico; Florida; and Europe; and cruised with Regent Seven Seas, Norwegian, and Carnival Cruise Lines. Some of the highlights of my journeys include the Vatican and the magnificent city of Rome; Sorrento and Sicily; gondola rides through the canals of Venice; visiting the ancient ruins of Pompeii; and sailing by Mt. Stromboli as red, molten lava shoots up from the volcano against the darkness of the night sky; trekking through jungles with a machete looking for waterfalls; and, of course, scuba diving and snorkeling on the worlds most pristine reefs.
I have completed specialist trainings with all Walt Disney products; Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, and Princess Cruise Lines; Palace, Club Med and the Rocky Mountain Ski Resorts.
