My family moved around so much in my youth I often refer to myself as a “civilian navy brat”. I lived in Bermuda for the first 10 years and Oahu for the next 2. After Hawaii it was on to Puerto Rico. Packing up and moving was second nature to me that I continued on, eventually living in many different areas of the United States.

Outside of the U.S., my favorite travel destination would have to be the Caribbean. Although I have fun wherever I go with my red hair and less than average height, the Caribbean holds a little something special for me. I love the relaxing atmosphere and lifestyle of the island’s natives. And the beaches are just amazing! In contrast, I love the history and artistic culture of Europe, in particular that of Germany and Paris. I find it very interesting to see how other people live and, fortunately for me, traveling is the best way to find out for myself.

Cruises are also a lot of fun for me and I have taken quite a few, particularly on Carnival Cruise Lines and Celebrity Cruises. One of my most memorable cruises was to Bermuda onboard a Celebrity ship right out of Norfolk! It was wonderful to go back to my first homeland, and I never even had to board a plane.

I take travel seriously and have received several certifications and awards. I have earned both my Certified Travel Associate and Certified Travel Counselor certifications; am a Certified Sandals Specialist; a “WOW” expert with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
