Norfolk, VA, May 16, 2008 – CI Travel is proud to announce that W. Reed Atkins, Jr. has joined CI Travel in its newly created position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As CFO, Reed will be responsible for the overall financial management of CI Travel’s current operations, including supervision of the accounting, finance and IT departments as well as be an instrumental part of developing new business opportunities and future investment planning for CI Travel. “We are all very impressed with Reed’s credentials, philosophy and vigor for hard work,” said Kevin McElroy, President of CI Travel, “I am convinced Reed will become an invaluable member of CI Travel’s family.”Reed received his BA in Business from Furman University in Greenville, SC and his MBA from the College of William and Mary. Reed is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). His professional experience most recently included various senior management positions with Furmanite America, formerly headquartered in Virginia Beach; National Auto Parts Warehouse, Inc. based in Miami, Florida; The Parts Plus Group, Inc. based in Bogota, NJ; and most recently as principal of his own turnaround, restructuring, and advisory firm based in Williamsburg, Va.
Reed is married with two teenaged children. He currently divides his time between his homes in Williamsburg and Virginia Beach.
